A Vision Born in the Heart of Kensington
Born in the heart of Kensington, LaceBelle London was founded in 2014 by Isabella Marchetti, a former couture designer who believed that exceptional lingerie should be accessible to every woman who values herself.
After a decade working alongside the most storied names in European fashion — from the ateliers of Milan to the grand maisons of Paris — Isabella returned to London with a singular vision: to create a lingerie brand that combined the uncompromising craft of Italian lace-making with the refined sensibility of British design. She opened a small studio on Kensington High Street, hand-selecting each fabric from family-run mills in Calais and Burano, and LaceBelle London was born.
From those early days, one thing has never wavered: the commitment to putting the woman first. Isabella designed pieces not for how they would look on a hanger or in a magazine, but for how they would feel against the skin — how they would make a woman carry herself differently when she pulled on a LaceBelle set at seven in the morning. That philosophy remains the beating heart of everything the brand creates today.
Today, LaceBelle London is recognised as one of Britain's finest independent luxury lingerie houses, with a devoted following that spans from Kensington to Kyoto. Yet the studio remains exactly where Isabella planted it — on the same stretch of Kensington High Street, where the team handpicks every piece and wraps every order with the same care as they did on opening day. The scale has grown; the soul has not.
Every LaceBelle piece carries within it the legacy of centuries of European lace craft, reinterpreted for the modern woman. The Chantilly lace is still sourced from the same Calais atelier Isabella visited on her very first buying trip. The silk trimmings still arrive from a fourth-generation producer in Lyon. And each bra that leaves the studio still passes through the hands of a skilled seamstress before it is deemed worthy of the LaceBelle name.
