Our Story

Born from a love of fine lace and a belief that every woman deserves to feel extraordinary — from the inside out.

Years of Excellence

A Vision Born in the Heart of Kensington

Born in the heart of Kensington, LaceBelle London was founded in 2014 by Isabella Marchetti, a former couture designer who believed that exceptional lingerie should be accessible to every woman who values herself.

After a decade working alongside the most storied names in European fashion — from the ateliers of Milan to the grand maisons of Paris — Isabella returned to London with a singular vision: to create a lingerie brand that combined the uncompromising craft of Italian lace-making with the refined sensibility of British design. She opened a small studio on Kensington High Street, hand-selecting each fabric from family-run mills in Calais and Burano, and LaceBelle London was born.

From those early days, one thing has never wavered: the commitment to putting the woman first. Isabella designed pieces not for how they would look on a hanger or in a magazine, but for how they would feel against the skin — how they would make a woman carry herself differently when she pulled on a LaceBelle set at seven in the morning. That philosophy remains the beating heart of everything the brand creates today.

Today, LaceBelle London is recognised as one of Britain's finest independent luxury lingerie houses, with a devoted following that spans from Kensington to Kyoto. Yet the studio remains exactly where Isabella planted it — on the same stretch of Kensington High Street, where the team handpicks every piece and wraps every order with the same care as they did on opening day. The scale has grown; the soul has not.

Every LaceBelle piece carries within it the legacy of centuries of European lace craft, reinterpreted for the modern woman. The Chantilly lace is still sourced from the same Calais atelier Isabella visited on her very first buying trip. The silk trimmings still arrive from a fourth-generation producer in Lyon. And each bra that leaves the studio still passes through the hands of a skilled seamstress before it is deemed worthy of the LaceBelle name.

Our Values

Premium Quality

Every piece of lace, every length of satin ribbon, and every hook-and-eye fastening is chosen for its exceptional quality. We never compromise on materials, because we know the difference is something you feel.

Inclusive Sizing

Luxury is for every body. Our collections are designed to flatter and celebrate every silhouette, with thoughtfully graded fits tested across a diverse range of models. Beautiful lingerie should never be a privilege of one size.

Sustainable Practice

We source our laces from mills that hold responsible manufacturing certifications, use fully recyclable packaging, and work with suppliers who share our commitment to reducing environmental impact without reducing excellence.

Empowering Women

From our founder to our fit team, LaceBelle London is led by women, for women. We believe that the way a woman feels in her own skin — starting with what she wears closest to it — can change the entire trajectory of her day.

Crafted to Last a Lifetime

True Chantilly lace is one of the most demanding textile traditions in the world — a craft that has been practised in Northern France for over three centuries. Each spool of lace that arrives at our studio represents hundreds of hours of specialised weaving, overseen by craftspeople who have dedicated their careers to this singular art.

At LaceBelle London, we work exclusively with ateliers that have maintained their lace-making traditions across generations. Our head of design, Sophie Chen, visits our Calais supplier twice yearly to select lace panels in person — examining the weight, the drape, the tension of each weave against the light. It is a process that cannot be rushed, and we would not have it any other way.

Once the lace arrives in London, each piece is cut by our in-house pattern team and assembled by skilled seamstresses who understand that a millimetre's variance in lace alignment can be the difference between ordinary and extraordinary. Every finished piece is individually inspected before being boxed in our signature packaging.

Isabella Marchetti

Founder & Creative Director

Isabella began her career at a couture house in Milan aged 21, before moving to Paris and then London, where she spent a decade developing her signature approach to luxury design. She founded LaceBelle London in 2014 with a vision of democratising the finest European lace traditions.

She oversees every collection personally, working closely with the design team from initial concept through to final fit. Isabella is also a passionate advocate for ethical fashion, sitting on the board of two responsible textile organisations.

"Lingerie is the most intimate form of design. It is the first thing a woman puts on and the last thing she takes off — it shapes the entire day."

Sophie Chen

Head of Design

Sophie joined LaceBelle London in 2016 after graduating with distinction from the Royal College of Art's Fashion programme, where her graduate collection was commended for its innovation in structural lingerie construction. Her background spans both technical pattern-cutting and conceptual design.

As Head of Design, Sophie leads the development of each seasonal collection and is responsible for sourcing all lace and trimmings. She visits European suppliers twice yearly and maintains close relationships with three generations of lace-makers in Calais.

"Good design disappears into the wearing of it. Great design becomes a part of who you are."

Amara Osei

Customer Experience Director

Amara joined the LaceBelle family in 2019 following a decade in luxury retail — including senior roles at a Bond Street jeweller and a Mayfair fashion house. She brought with her a deep understanding of what genuine customer care looks like at the highest level.

Under Amara's leadership, LaceBelle London has achieved an industry-leading 97% customer satisfaction rating and a returns resolution time of under 24 hours. She personally trains every member of the customer team and reads every review that comes through.

"The sale is the beginning of the relationship, not the end of it. Every customer who trusts us with something so personal deserves nothing less than our very best."
